Hunted

She's supposed to be the enemy. He's supposed to be dead. Love was never part of the battle plan.

For a century, Edith has obeyed, as she did in life. She kept her distance from humanity, swallowed her questions, and stayed precisely where her clan leader told her to stand. He promised equality for vampire-kind would come—if she remained loyal, if she knew her place. She buried her doubts and called it devotion. Until now.

Darren has spent a decade grieving the loss of his family, channeling his rage against vampires into snuffing as many out as possible. Including the demure vampire who draws him in.

In secret, she clings to the vestiges of her humanity. The love she never had. A love she could see again in the man who wants her dead.

He never thought he could trust a vampire. Now, after just a few days in her presence, he's falling. He shouldn't love her, but he can't help it. An unlikely love just might be the spark to ignite a war centuries in the making.
